RE: MARCH TRAINING CONFERENCE

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We are writing to inform you of the upcoming Training Seminar and Business Meeting of the St. Louis Area Council #245.

The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn Westport, 1973 Craigshire, the facility is located off of Page (I-270), St. Louis, MO. 63146. Shuttle services will be arranged for those who arrive by air flying into Lambert St. Louis International Airport. Reservations can be made by mail or phone (314) 424-0100. Rooms will cost $80.00 per night (single, double, triple or quad). The dates of the seminar are March 17-19, 2004. We encourage everyone to make his or her reservations no later than February 8, 2004; as rooms at this rate will quickly sell out.

The subject matter presented at this training does fall within the purview of the Comptroller General’s decision concerning administrative leave to attend training that is beneficial to both management and labor organizations. That decision is supported by FPM Chapter 630: S11-5E.

Registration fees will be $120.00 per person (includes banquet ticket, dance and continental breakfast for three days) in advance, $135.00 at the seminar. Registration for classes only is $105.00 in advance, $120.00 at the seminar. Extra banquet tickets will be sold on-site for $60.00 each. To take advantage of the tremendous savings of complete registration in advance, please submit your check and letter at least 14 days prior to the seminar to the Treasurer, Connie Adams, St. Louis Area Council #245, P.O. On –site registration will be held at the Holiday Inn Westport on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Wednesday morning from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Some of the highlights of the training will be:

MEET AND GREET HOSPITALITY for all brothers and sisters is scheduled for Tuesday March 16, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. The Forum is opened to any candidate running for a National Office position.
Mr. Derrick Thomas, 2^nd District National Vice-President will bring the Opening Address on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 8:15 a.m.

Ms. Dorothy James, 7th District National Vice-President will bring the Opening Address on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 8:15 a.m.
Mr. Joe Flynn, 4th District National Vice-President will bring the Opening Address on Friday, March 19, 2004 at 8:15 a.m.
