I realize that unless every local in DoD quickly becomes stronger, the DoD employees will lose many of the rights and benefits they have long enjoyed.

I herby commit AFGE Local _____________ to fight against DoD proposals that eliminate rational pay systems, destroy veterans preferences in RIF, wipe out due process in discipline cases, and eliminate collective bargaining.

I hereby commit this local to host at least one lunch and learn program as soon as possible to inform employees of the threats and to enlist their support for the fight. I tentatively schedule that lunch and learn program for (insert date):_________________.
