Response is to docket number NSPS-2005-001 and Regulatory Information number (RIN) 3206-AK76.
I believe the NSPS gives itself to much power and flexibility to make changes to DOD employees salaries. These decisions affect our ability to care for our families and leaves no room for growth or incentives for excellence. All big corporations offer incentive packages for their employees to increase employee retention and therefore, decrease turnover rates. Will cutting employee salaries really help with budget issues if the extra money will need to be used to train new employees due to high turnover rates? Will employees be forced to work harder for less pay? Let's face it, we all want to be rewarded for our job efforts, and most of us expect to receive bonuses or salary increases for our efforts. Who would determine salaries of center professions and specialty certification? In this proposal, all DOD employees will lose, and there isn't anything attractive about NSPS.
