As an African American Contract Specialist, working for the Department of Defense (DoD), specifically Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The NSPS will make it extremely hard for me, as well as my family and race to be successful in my career. When I'm subjected to a supervisor that judges me based on his/her personal opinion rather than my performance. This is my understanding of the NSPS. (Ex. If you are an employee that have filed a EEO or other complaints, you and I both know that you will be singled out by that supervisor/management of that organization. Which sends a message to me and others that you have no out when you are being sexually harrased, when you are being treated unfairly, when you are judge based on your gender, race, age or even your disability) My udnerstanding of the NSPS, is it is taking us (blacks/minorities) back to the time before civil rights became law.
