Subpart C - Pay and Pay Administration 9901.342 Performance payouts. (b) Performance pay pools. Employees and employee representatives should be provided with a timely reporting of the financial status of pay pools. On a monthly basis employees should be notified of distributions, collections, and available balances. Distributions should show how payments were made based upon performance appraisals. Employees need to know if distributions were awarded as bonuses or salary increases. Collections should show how monies were received from step increases not awarded. Available balances should show amounts retained for future awards, and payouts. Finally, the pay pools should be examined and audited by an independent group.
