   DoD NSPS Comments:

I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD).  The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005.  This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress.

I have worked for DoD for years.  I am not happy with the changes you are making on behalf of all Defense workers.  I would like to get an answer from the Secretary of Defense to why are we changing now and what is the problem with the current GS and WG pay?  Is it because the goverment has spent more money than they had, and now they are using these changes toget more money to balance the budget and we are spending way to much money on this war.  I thing these changes are wrong and inappropriate.  Congress need to come up with another way to get extra money.  We,  GS, WG workers are working really hard and we are not getting nearly enough for what we do on our job.  Why don't Congress reduce their pay?  They lived in fine mansions and are making over two hundred thousands plus dollars yearly compare to  my thirty plus thousands.  We cannot afford to send our kids to college.  We have to get students loans, etc.  We voted for you all in Congress in hoping that you all will help us and not hurt us, but you all are hurting us with the changes.  God said do not put your trust in man but put your trust in him.  President Bush said he is a christian just like me so, I figure he will do what Jesus would do, help people and not hurt people.  The members of Congress have big banks accounts, we don't, we are living from pay check to pay check trying to make end meets and support our families the best we can.  My conclusion is to  Mr. Secretary of Defense think this thing over and over and over and over again before you make the change and leave everything just like it is now.  At the age of thirteen I was born again, and every thing I do I ask God to give me guidance.  Please ask God to give you all guidane in this, If you love God it will be good.

  Sincerely Yours,
