February 25, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. These regulations if implemented will return us to tyranny and oppression that forced our fore fathers from their homelands. Explain to me how this is for national security reasons. The truth is it is going to hurt this country more than it will help. Fraud, waste and abuse will become rampant again because people not say anything for fear of their jobs. Discrimination complaints will increase dramatically. Violence in the work place will increase because employees will feel they have no recourse. The Unions, FLRA, MSPB, EEO and other entities were created to protect employees from abuse and Mismanagement. The myth that federal workers are poor performers is just that a myth. The truth about it is that government has a lot of poor performing managers and that is the problem. Federal workers are not a threat to this country in fact they make this country more secure. However these regulations being proposed will hurt this country more that Bin Laden did. Why done we just admit that he really did do more damage and continues to do this country than we are willing to admit. We are truly destroying ourselves. Sincerely,
