March 11, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: Hello, my name is and I have some comments to share concerning the newly proposed NSPS. I strongly dislike and disagree with many of the principles outlined in NSPS because they weaken the security of many aspects of being a Federal DOD worker. Weakened Unions are bad for employees, regardless whatever justification is provided. Workers need to have the right to representation and a strong Union to push for a good, steady work environment. I am concerned with my wage security. I know that under the existing system, I get a yearly cost of living increase, step increases as I spend time at my grade level, and I can be considered for promotion. I strongly dislike the idea of my supervisor determining how much money I should make. My supervisor should be a manager, not a payroll expert. Sincerely,
