March 10, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I have been in federal service for more than thirty years. Part of which was defending our nation in the Army. I have seen many changes that were implemented throughout my tenure, but I do not believe that I have seen one that will have a devastating effect as NSPS. This change gives supervisors to much control over their employees with the employee left with little to no recourse. By this I mean if one day you go into to work, you might get there and find out that you no longer have a job, you have just been fired, This could happen because lack of performance on your part or it could happen because of a personnel dislike for you by your supervisor. This regulation gives supervisor to much authority. This regulation as it appears to me could leave one fired from a job without given the opportunity to retire even if they meet the requiements for retirement. Sincerely,
