As a supervisor and concerned soldier I have become disgusted with the state of affairs concerning some of the civilian employees. Not to discredit those that perform their duties with purpose and enthusiasm but to shead some light on those that have lost sight of values. There are employees that feel that they have special rights to whatever brings them joy without consideration for others. They think they only have to work a set schedule while the others are working shifts. The organization could provide better services if the mentality could somehow break from the "regular hours" way of thinking. This thinking has led to the malaise condition of employees. Some have been doing the same thing for 10-20 years. They are waiting for some automatic promotion or retirement. An entire life is spent without self improvement. These type of employees are the obstacles in the way of advancements. They resist technological innovations and other elements of change. Whatever the conclusion of the process might be, I will continue to press toward perfection. The change is necessary to provide a way for managers to manage.
