March 10, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. I have worked for DoD for years. This system is cut out for the individuals who want to help their friends, family, etc. Nepotism is already big in the federal government and now it will be worst. It is not fair that if I get a low rating on my evaluation, I can not get assistance from the union or Merit Systems Protection Board. It is not fair that we can no longer get step increments unless or supervisor think we deserve it. You know people are so bia and will use this to not give you what you deserve. I will no longer get a pay raise if you left it up to some people. It is not fair that to be productivity in front of longevity of experience. It is not tair that I can get fired for probably just about anything. It is not fair that Management decision would be difficult to overturn, if you get that far in the process. ALL AND ALL THIS IS A BAD PROPOSAL . LET KEEP THE SYSTEM FAIR BY KEEPING IT THE WAY IT IS. I VOTE "NO"................................... Sincerely,
