March 10, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I am a veteran AF member with 5 years of service and honorable discharge. I have worked as a civil service employee for 28 years. I have enjoyed serving my country. I've always been a hard worker and going above and beyond. I am angry at the NSPS proposed legislature. I vote so that my feelings are felt and heard. I no longer feel that by voting that my elected officials are truly looking out for "we the people." I'm asking you to vote no for the proposed NSPS. Our Constitution supposedly is to be fair and just with the people, but by enacting this proposal unfair and unjust crimes will be done to us civil workers. We all expect our leaders and supervisors to do the right thing when they have to, but this is not always the case. A lot of times it is the fox guarding the chicken coop, but who guards the fox. If our society was perfect we wouldn't have laws to prevent EEO complaints and other unfair treatment and practices by supervisors and management. Previous laws and rules were enacted to prevent certain crimes and injustices to people and the enactment of NSPS will open the door to unfair labor practices. If you are in your position to best serve me, then I ask you again to vote no on the proposed NSPS. Sincerely,
