March 10, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: How can this happen? How can our Congressmen approve such an unfair law? Have they actually read it prior to signing it? The majority of DoD employees are loyal, hardworking folks, ready to help when needed. Taking away what little rights they had by re-instating the good-ole-boy system will encourage a divided entity. I am opting to think that this was the plan ? divide and concord. I believe Hitler practiced those same techniques. How can you justify punishing hundred of thousands of good, loyal DoD employees just because you wish to weed out the poor performers. America is at war. We are fighting for democracy abroad. But the regulations are an attack on workers? basic rights. Furthermore, NSPS will divert the attention of defense workers from the soldiers? welfare to protecting themselves from abuse on the job. I urge you to force DoD to rethink this proposal. We need work rules that preserve fairness, serve the American people, and respect the rights of Defense Department workers. Sincerely,
