DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. The purpose of this proposed change has not been well defined. There are too many open ended changes with no benefit for the employee. The new pay scale and incentive system is to subjective and there are no provisions for fair arbitration. Implementing this system would weaken the strength of the current work force. Career status emplyees would dwindle due to limited advancement opportunities and security. Looking at other business models seriously, such as Sears and Wal-Mart, should give you an idea of the quality of work force you could expect in ten years. Sincerely,
