March 10, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: Subpart G, para 2 ? Mandatory Removal Offenses (MROs) I have yet to see how the NSPS overhaul of civil service regulations was driven by national security. Now the Department of Defense wants the power to declare certain workplace offenses a threat to national security. What will keep them from abusing this unrestrained authority? The regulation doesn?t subject MROs to any test, justification or review. The government has shown it can?t be trusted connecting things it does to "national security." Sincerely,
