March 11, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I have been a dedicated Federal employee for many years. I served my Country in Vietnam between the years of 1967-1969. I was wounded in 1968. I continued my Federal career as a civilian and have traveled all over to include Bosnia and Kosovo in support of the Military. I am appalled that you can take away from me the very protections I have fought for others. Under this proposed system, my years of service matter little while so-called high performers who could just be the supervisor's favorite, will be compensated. My Grandfather, my Father, and myself have fought and risked our lives to gain the protections we currently work under and with the stroke of a pen, NSPS is taking them all away. Don't even try to convince me that this has anything to do with National Security. I am a proud Veteran and I know all about National Security. This is a travesty Sincerely,
