March 14, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent AFGE, DoD and my representatives. I have taken time to read the printed 114 pages of the proposed regulations. In the 114 pages, the only things I find clear are the waste of tax payer monies and the will of this administration to take away civil liberties of the people in general. By the people, I mean harding working everyday Americans, not the elite upper echelon that have dreams of power to rule the world. This country is divided enough!! This administrations exercise of "flexibility" , in the form of these proposed rules, is no more than an attempt to deny the basic hard fought for rights of the American public. I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs and it is true that the "Price of freedom is visible here". This is not the freedom that our nations veterans have fought and died for. Freedom is for all, not the selected few!!!! Our veterans are in other countries attempting to allow other nations the same basic rights of Americans, while back home we feel the need to take those same rights away. God Love you, you even want to take veterans rights away!! Shame on you for calling yourselves Americans!! Might I also suggest that the Constituion of these United States along with the Bill of Rights be required reading for those that think it was written just for them!!!! Sincerely,
