March 14, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. I am currently on active duty in the United States Airforce. My dad told me to work hard, tell the truth and trust in God and by doing so, you can acheive your dreams, goals and asperations. I hope the government can honestly say that it is telling the truth about the need to take away hard earned civil service protections, by claiming to do so is for the national securtiy interest of my country. I believe this is not the case. My dad is a hard working civil servant who can make the NSPS the best this government can offer if given the opportunity to provide meaningful input. As I serve my country on active duty please consider the opinions of my parents who both say these proposed regulations are bad for them and for the public. Please consider the dedicated service to this country of my parents. They are veterans that continue to provide public service in the U.S. Postal and DOD army civil service at Ft. Carson CO. Sincerely,
