As a federal employee of the DoD, I am deeply concerned over the Pay band issue in Sections 9901.354, 9901.353, and9901.355. Who is going to be the deciding person or persons to do this? They will have the power to dismantle Anyone 10% at a time especially if there is any form of discrimination in the work place. Also the discrimination that goes on between blue collar and white collar employees. This PAy system doesn't reward anyone that gets in at the top of the pay band. Can you fix it or do you start everyone at the bottom. If you are classified at a lower paying position than were you are now will you have saved pay when it starts or will you lose money and be where you can't get a raise till there is a pay band increase? The people that defend this country should be paid more than the workers outside of civil service positions. The benefits for having a civil service job is being eroded away so much that it is going to become Better to work some where else. To me that doesn't sound like you are wanting security. Our pay and our rights are being taken away. Someone needs to stand up and say enough is enough. Do we have any one in the legislative branch of our government that is awake or is this the beginning of the end for this country. Stop NSPS before it is to late. Pay for performance is not a system that is built on respecting your elders or the people who founded this great nation. What ever happened to team work. Experience used to be a great teacher. Now experience is to be discarded for production or performance. A young worker can out perform an older worker, but at what cost. The price will be to high (suicides will go up Back biting, Work place violence, and many other things could happen with this type program. Better Retirement plans would help separate the older workers lets not put them out like an undesirable piece of property. It is not to late change the nsps or leave the opm in place. A Veteran that is afraid of what direction our country is going.
