March 16, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: Dear Sirs: I have worked at Eielson Air Force Base for almost 20 years at the powerplant and we have a very dedicated crew here. We are all very much patriots of our country almost all are veterans of the military and very proud of it. The civilian work crew is the best in the entire system I don't have very many concerns about the nsps first off i dont like the name because it insinuates national security just like patriot act if you don't like it then you are not a patriot I think change is good and some of the intended things are good One thing i dont like and didn't like with the old system either was the fact that a bad supervisor is very difficult to get rid of. I think employees should be able to rate supervisors not just supervisors rating employees I like the idea of being able to get rid of employees that are not productive. I would like to know more about bonus and how it could be distributed to the people actually doing the work instead of supervisors getting them and the good old boy system which i have seen at its finest, Good employees are spread thoughout the system but I think the best are here in Alaska so protect the natural resorce that you already have with regular pay raises and equality of employees thanks Sincerely,
