March 16, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: It is a shame what this Adminsitration and the DOD are trying to do with Labor Management Relations in this Agency and in the Federal Sector as a whole. Everyone knows that the only two things that stand in the way of Capitalism are Government and Labor. With a threat of National Security they are chopping away at both in the Federal Sector. After DOD they will spread their destruction to all Federal Agencies and thus clear the way for their Agenda. In the past this was not attempted because the Congress would not allow such, but now that they have the votes of those who represent the party and not the people, they will stop at nothing. The employees need the Union to protect them from untrained management officials that the Agencies place in charge because of reasons other than merit system. The Union has never stood in the way of our National Security and many of the Agencies that are our National Security's employees have protected our Nation since it became this great Nation. Now even the merit system principals that have been in place for many years, will be removed and thus open the way to hire, promote, transfer, fire, demote etc. anyone they so desire. The pay for performance is a joke, the government is not a piece rate industry. We provide service to our own employees or members of the Public. By allowing local management to set standards and decide who gets awards and promotions you create agencies where keeping good employees will be a thing of the past. Good potential employees will not apply and stress will be unbearable. Top that with no Union to represent and protect these employees and you have a where you go postal and die at age 40. thank you Sincerely,
