March 16, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I think that all government employees who have been in "career status" for at least 10 years should be "grandfathered" and NOT be affected by all of these changes. 1. Many of us are approaching retirement in another 5 years and cannot afford to live on less. 2. We work hard for our RAISE (COLA) at the beginning of EACH YEAR. 3. We have never had to worry about deployment to another area (unless someone chose to for some reason). 4. If we want to work overtime, that should be OUR choice--TO or NOT TO work overtime. 5. We should have the right to exercise flextime (or alternate work schedule) in our working hours as has been done in the past as long as we worked a 40 hour week. Sincerely, Catherine Mabile Sincerely,
