March 16, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I am extremely concerned about the proposed regulations. I do not see how they correlate to National Security. Longevity of an employee shows dedication and commitment. The longer you work for the Federal Govt., you become more aware of your mission and have a better understanding of things. New employees just don't have that kind of work ethic and dedication. It takes years worth of service to have a true understanding. Longevity should be first and foremost in factors for a RIF. Long term employees have already proven their great service and continue to do so. This is not right. If you want to change the personnel system so drastically, it should just be for employees just starting. Thank you. Sincerely,
