March 15, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I can see it now...the Devil rearing his ugly head in the guise of pay banding. We all know darn well that the "powers to be" have their favorites (it doesn't matter how they perform) who will receive the pay raises while the unfavored will receive the shaft. Also, this would definitely lower morale. There will always be the "hot shots", but how long will they last? Is this what you want? Think about it. Next, this pay banding will, without a doubt, weaken the union. Although I am not a union member, I still think it has its place and we need to retain it for fairness sake. I do not want to see it jepardized. Finally, I have worked very hard for this organization for over twentey- five years. I don't want to see all I have worked for just go down the drain for someone else's so called "bright ideas" Absolutely "NO" to pay banding and the NSPS...we don't need it! Sincerely,
