March 15, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. There is only one way to view this way of paying the DOD employees. It is to view it like "Rome". The reason it fell is that is was corrupted from within. You have only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to corruption. The working people of DOD will suffer from this payment. It will create an environment much like "Rome". When it falls, you won't have to look hard or far to find the reason why. People will become ruthless with each other and supervisors will become bullies and power hungry. I can't understand how intelligent people were led to believe this is a better way. Please take a long hard look at this and put it in the grave where it belongs. Don't let us become a "Rome". Sincerely,
