March 15, 2005 DoD NSPS Comments , DoD NSPS Comments: I write to express my concerns about changes to work rules in the Department of Defense (DoD). The proposed regulations, known as the National Security Personnel System (NSPS), were printed in the Federal Register on February 14, 2005. This message will be sent to both DoD and my representatives in Congress. I have worked for DoD for 7 years. I am a recent college graduate. My first choice for a career was to work for the government. And some of those reasons like job security, cost of living increases, and guarenteed grade increases are all in jeopardy because of this new pay banding. I feel lied to and very mislead. There are hundreds of college graduates in programs around the US that will be highly disapointed and will likely take thier knowledge and willingness to learn to another business if this pay banding goes into effect. Please consider those of us you call tomorrows future! Sincerely,
