This program seems to be more detrimental to security than any one thing the Department of Defense could do. This travesty of fairness and rape of employee protections will devastate the morale of the entire civilian workforce in one fell swoop. We are the backbone of the military, we are the glue who keeps the defense machine together while the military goes off to fight. This will hurt us by taking away our small pay increases when the department wants to spend more of its money elsewhere. We will bear the brunt of financing the war efforts on our backs when the rest of the people in the American workforce get tax breaks. The tax breaks will come out of our very paychecks! We will see positions cut and have no recourse when a supervisor is told to get rid of someone whose health is not as good as a younger person's. The government does not need to stomp on its civilian workforce in order to promote better security for our nation! This plan will cause favoritism and coercion to become the rule, and we will lose our best people because they don't have a fair chance to get hired or get promotions. Give our bargaining units a chance to represent us, or be known as the dictators you have become!
