The Case for Action: Para 4. You are referring to us as a team, but how can this be when we are not treated as a team member? To Whom It May Concern; Let me cut right to my problem with this ego proposal. I am a Federal Employee with DOD. The more I read this hidden Dictatorship proposal, the more upset I get. It is perfectly clear that rumsfeld is appointing himself the king of DOD. The civilian employees are being subjected to being treated like military (without all the benefits, housing, separate rations medical etc.) as opposed to working for the military. This proposal would let any supervisor no matter how inexperienced and immature they were to have me "jumping through hoops" just because they can! This really is a slap to the civilian workforce once again. We are the continuity and trainers for the young fighting men and women. You have seen fit to take that right away from us by rapidly promoting all these individuals to supervisory positions that they are not trained or mature enough to handle them. You think that a system of only rewarding top performers is a good solution. All this is going to do is allow those "Brown-Nosers" and friends of supervision to get all the advancement and money, IE "The Good Ole" Boy Syndrome". I know that nothing I say will influence this particular political agenda and empire building propaganda so I will close. Let me just say that I will do my part in telling friends and family that working for the government is not a carreer but a prison sentance and right now we are dancing to your tune. I yern for the complete democratic way of life without the people who have decided that they are smarter than me when it comes to serving my country. I know you wont reconsider and you will get your way. I just wish for retirement.
