This new system is very exciting. It is about time that a system is implemented that will be fair. Far to many times I have seen people ride the system and not perform to their ability due to the fact that they can. I am very excited about the system and look forward to its implementation. Finally, a person who works hard and goes the extra mile will be rewarded. As a Navy spouse I have been to many duty stations in the last 17 years. I am fairly new to the GS system but have seen the abuses. It is my hope that you will continue to keep the spouse programs in place. As a Navy spouse I have started careers over at the very least 5 times. The GS system has enabled me to have a security blanket that upon our next transfer I will be able to go into another job pretty quickly. I give myself credit for the fact that I have a flawless work record and I give 110% of myself to each job no matter how large or small. I look forward to the new system and I think in the long run it will save millions of my taxpayer dollars. It is far time to get rid of those who are not here to do a job but are only here to get through the day and get the paycheck. We all need to remind ourselves why we are here each day. We are here to support and defend our country and to support the mission of our military. Thank you to the designers of this new and much improved program. Finally, I feel like we are going in the right direction.
