Page 7559, fed register, vol 70, no 29...Pay and Pay Administration--Subpart C, directly under the Sample Classification Structure table... My comment is as follows: I am a DoD civilian who is in process of obtaining a masters degree from a fairly prestigious and rigorous program. When I exit the program I will be job searching, both within government and outside of it...My chances of staying a civil servant will increase greatly if I could be assured at least a 10-15K salary increase upon obtaining the degree...As my target position was previously a GS-12, please be assure that whatever pay scale/pay band an 1102 gs-12 position falls into has a base salary that can be as high as 65-70K before locality as otherwise there will be no chance that it will be worth it for me to stay in a government position. Please assure that employees, like myself, who are very well educated also are well compensated for possessing such a degree. Thanks.
