Mr. Rusmfeld's NSPS (National Socialism Pork System) is modeld after the 'sharp' practices of BIG BUSINESS in the name of Efficient Government. The Government is NOT a Big Business. The Government is "WE THE PEOPLE". NSPS wields a big knife cutting into 70 years of Civil Service Laws passed to protect WE THE PEOPLE from the discriminating effeciency and bottom line practices and profit of BIG BUSINESS Leaders, like Mr. Rumsfeld. NSPS is at the cost of We The (little) People! It can be heard already in the joking comments of supervisors saying "I wonder how much 'they' will pay me to improve their performance rating" since NSPS pay based on performance this off hand joking remark is very telling. Pay banding and performance base pay raises is another was of sayingr 'Brown Nosing and Aas Kissing' and retributional when supervisors do not 'like' someone. UNLESS, the workers have input is part of the supervisors performance rating, NSPS is "Rank" discrimination. The Government has LEAD for 70 years in fighting "OLD BOY (white males) SCHOOL" job connection discrimination. The Government has advanced programs for hiring of women, minorities, veterans and the disabeled. NSPS reverses 70 years of Civil Service in favor of "efficiency' going back to Old Boy Network. The idea of hiring based on 3.5 GPA, right schools and priviledge, with a bone of adding some "women and minorities' thrown in. NSPS is Mr. Rumsfeld's Big Business Leading, is Not the US Government of WE THE PEOPLE! The Civil Service model of the past 70 years of progess is being turned back in the false names of "National Security" and "efficiency". It is BIG Business operating at the national level at the cost of We The (little) People. Discrimination against older workers is already BLATANT in DOD. Check it out! Promotions of the past five years, 8 of 10 promotions have gone to under 50 years of age. There is the occaional exception of an over 50 in special catagories; minority, women, handicapped, veteran or some other special considerations. Mr. Rumsfled would make a very good national socialist leader as arogant and self satisfied with himself, not listenting to the military generals and people who do not agree with his point of view. Yes, I am a member of the union. I am also over 60, female, VietNam Era veteran, disabeled, Evangelical Christian, registered Republican and Mad as Hell at Mr. Rumsfeld's and HIS discriminatory NSPS! President Bush and NRC be adivse this elephant has a long memory! NSPS is in the top five on my short list when considering how I will vote in the nest election. Oh for a thrid party that represents the Indepentdent thinking Converative American Laborer!
