I would like to see stricker rules when it comes to veterans and blacks. More times than I can count have I heard them say I don't have to meet quotas or worry about my a rif or anything I'm a vet I can't be fired. Or all I have to do is say discrimination and the my supervisor backs downs and leaves me alone so I can do what I want. These things go on daily and a wast of tax payers dollars. regulations needs to changed so that no matter who you are if you don't preform you can be fired. The government has carried dead beats for too many years and federal workers has a bad reputation. With this it is no wonder. Supervisors who use fowl language that can be heard on the phone by a vendor and they are not repremanded. Who has complaints after complaint filed and still stays in the same position. How is this new way going to be any different if the same people are still out here doing the judging and letting people get by with these things. What is wrong with the system now is when you try to get something done by filing a complaint management sticks together and then nothing happens. So what makes you think that just because you call it a new system that anything will change. You still have the same old management that will stick together and when a complaint goes up, they will all stick together and nothing will get accomplished except the fact that you are now on their list of trouble makers. Good example is I have come up on a cert 3 times for a supervisor job and was interviewed the first time but my supervisor was on the panel and told one of my co-workers that she would see I never got one of the jobs. Another cert came out and although I am quite qualified and believe in rules you might say I have been black balled, as when the second cert came out they wanted a particular person for one of the jobs and called him in the office and asked him why he didn't apply for the job and talked him into it and now he was just selected for the job. Now you tell me does this seem fair to us that follow the rules and work hard at our jobs. I am not saying he won't do a good job and doesn't deserve it but it was a very underhanded way of doing it. and I would think illegal. Preselection. But that goes on all the time. Work harder, but we are lower your grade and taking away people. This is your reward. A new system is not going to make this better. Only people can make this better. And unless you have people that really care about the little people it will never work no matter what system you try to implement. Higher management only sees figures they don't see what really goes on, on the floors and that is a shame. Some of them forget where they started or came from. Unless they started with a silver spoon in their mouth. Honesty has always been my down fall I have been told. So I may get into trouble for this. But that's life. Honesty is still the best policy ever written and ever will be wriiten. And that is my opinion
