This regulation is written as if racism doesn't exist. Right here in my work place our boss has a corp. group of white females that he has given large monetary awards and step increases for doing as little as making Power Point Slides. With DOD allowing retired military officers to enter civil service right away they will become the hiring authority and normally they have little experience in the area they are hired. They will begin to hire people that look like them and have their back ground. There will be no competitive hiring only cronyism. The system we have now is as fair as you can be in a society that is not yet fully past the Civil War. Minorities in DOD deserve the same consideration as everyone else we too have made large sacrifices and should not be subjected to a situation where we are not given an equal chance to compete. I realize that it was a waste of time writing this but at least I feel better. The only chance I had to change this direction was at the polls in November. All I can say is What went wrong?
