I have read through the Overview Brief, Facts Sheet, and Background Information on the website. The NSPS sounds great, but the information I have seen seems very generic for a system that will be implemented in 4 months. I am looking for some specific answers, such as: 1. Exactly how will pay be based on performance? 2. How will performance be linked to the Commands Strategic Plan? 3. What are the pay bands - what are the numbers and how do they match up to the current GS Salary Tables? 4. Will employees remain at their current salaries until the next performance appraisal? 5. Will employees be given specific goals to achieve during the performance evaluation period? 6. What will the new APAS system look like? 7. Will employees have a say in negotiating their new salaries? I am sincerely excitied about this new system if it achieves what has been put forth; however, I am also a little anxious about how this exactly will work? Virginia M.
