Pay banding can be a positive thing, but how can we be sure that this will be done in fairness? It doesn't seem to be much different that the appraisal system. If the supervisor wants to give you an increase, they will just as if they wanted to pomote you they would. Many of the employees that would be justified in receiving a higher salary will be excluded.
