Most of the proposed changes created by the NSPS sound good, but the current pay system should be left alone. Longevity is the best way to increase an employee’s pay, just as our military still does. Are we going to give our military men and women a pay increase or a bonus based on their confirmed body count? Performance based pay increases sounds good, but it will create more problems than it solves. Giving a supervisor the authority to change an employee’s pay will open the door to more sexual harassment and sexual favors in exchange for increased pay. Under the proposed pay system, Monica would have been the highest paid person in the White House. Since we have men and women working together, the proposed new pay system will be a disaster.
