page 7557, Scope of Authority, specifically the section which reads, "The premium pay system for employees, as set forth in chapter 55, subsection V, except section 5545(b) relating to pay for fire fighters", and page 7561, Premium Pay, “Section 9901.361… except section 5545(b), in whole or in part for employees in a category approved by the Secretary.” Does this mean that DoD 1811's will not be gaurenteed Law Enforcement Availability Pay curently authorized by 5 U.S.C. chapter 55, subchapter V section 5545(a)? Why are fire fighters exempted but not LEOs?
