In my 20t years in the gov't I have personally seen how this system will not work. I have seen and had happen to me exactly what this could and will cause. I have seen people that aren't that good and definately not exceptional get promotions and awards because of their "relationship" with the supervisor. While others, like me, work our butts off, deal with just as much if not more issues etc and don't even get a thank you etc. My last supervisor treated me like garbage from day one until the time he left. I know I wasn't just making it up because others saw it and also couldn't believe it. I am a GS-7 ad have been for 8 years. I have 1.6 years as a temp 9 and awards for the work I have done over the years. Yet I was screwed out of 6 GS-9's just because for some unknown reason he just plain didn't like me. In this system I would never ever get ahead step wise. This is the kind of stuff that makes this system unfair and not realistic, at least not here at Tobyhanna Army Depot!! Even though there will be a way for employees who are treated unfair to fight it , that wont help. I say leave things alone at least that way we all get ahead at some time!! Once Resumix came out I got screwed out ot three more jobs because it didn't put me on the list but yet people who didn't even qualify got on the list! I complained to different people and no one would do anthing even though they agreed with me. Now they have redone the system but yet nothing will be done for the mnay many people they already cheated out of jobs, which for me now if up to 7!!!
