In a perfect world this would work. Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world. I'm quite sure there are other organizations that are like mine. In mine, we have supervisors that by putting this kind of power in there hands is dangerous. I personally have been accused of doing something that never happened. I had to go through months of pure agony with these supervisors. They lied and one of them even pulled out a document about a meeting that we never had. He said I didn't sign the document because I refused. We never had the meeting. The Union got involved and finally got my situation resolved. Not only did nothing happen these supervisors, but in this situation they would be the same people that would determine if I kept my job or not. These would be the same people that would determine my pay. If they are allowed to serve their own justice, it's going to be a huge problem for the government. I was falsely accused of sexual harrassment. Do you think I'd still have my job under the proposed changes? More of us are going to be working for people that are going to abuse this practice than use it like it should be.
