I have a problem with the new pay system in the area of giving Supervisors free reign in affecting an employee's pay through poor performance because under the current system the poor performers ARE being rewarded and under your proposed plan they WILL be rewarded! Make no mistake and think that the people who deserve to be rewarded will be rewarded under the new system when the current system was designed to do the EXACT same thing and failed. And why did it fail? Because the Supervisors had free reign to make a subjective decision in who will be rewarded for outstanding or excellent performance and I have seen time and time again aquaintainces, friends and people who maliciously and deceptively destroy their co-workers by aligning themselves with the Supervisor and do absolutely no work whatsoever, get rewarded for excellent performance and THEY ARE THE POOR PERFORMERS. I tell you, the Supervisor only has to dislike a person for personal reasons and that person will not be rewarded even if he is the absolute best worker in the shop under the current system and it WILL be under the new system you are proposing. Your new system: different wrapper but the same content. Solution: allow the actual workers decide along with the Supervisor whom gets a performance award. Fairness is being judged by the Supervisor and your peers.
