At the end of these comments it will be clear why I chose not to fill in the identification blocks. However, if the present proposed NSPS system passes it won't be hard to find out who I am. Big Bad Brother will be watching. With this system all rights that were given to me by our founding fathers, and which so many have died will be no more or on their way to extinction. The power will be in the hands of a few; the workers' voice will be muffed or silenced if not by force then by elimination of jobs; millions and millions of tax dollars will be foolishly spent; and morale of both CIVILIAN AND MILITARY will be at its darkest. It's so ironic how we see the military coups happen overseas, or remember the ones of the 50's, 60's, and 70's and think that it could never happen in our democratic society. How wrong we are! The DoD in its arrogance has slapped Congress in the face and has all but initiated the new NSPS system. Now who is experiencing a military coup? Our young men and women are being killed in Iraq so that Democracy can be tasted by those who hunger for it. It would be nice if we were an example of a democratic society. We got rid of a manical dictator who ruled by fear, and took the rights of his own people. If it didn't work over there, what makes DOD think it will work here? Yes, here. It's so easy to see how this administration works. A DoD Secretary who has no feelings for people in uniform or out of it is given the power to instill measures that will kill a fair and just system. It targets certain age groups, sex groups, good workers, loyal workers, etc. Remind you of anybody? How can Congress stand by and see this happen? How can a President who won on moral values stand by and do nothing? This system wreaks of corruption, and is full of power mongers to eagerly do away with a system that rewards the loyal and hardworking. What's next for the DoD? Maybe the Supreme Court can use an overhaul, huh boys? I still have faith that Congress can stand up to DoD and stop this nonsense before somebody has to send their marines here to free us.
