Some of my concerns are the abolishment of the step pay raises. This a concern for me because when my supervisor is a active duty member they come and go frequently. I may never see a step increase because by the time my supervisor gets to know me and my performance capabilities they rotate out, or if you have a personality conflict with your supervisor and they just don’t like you, then you will never see a pay raise. Another concern I have is job security. I was attracted to the civil service because of it’s job security and the rights that employees have and now they are taking away those rights. With this new system, employers that do not like you can easily have you fired wear as under the old system you would be protected by the employer having to prove that you deserve to be fired. Now someone that does not even know you can fire you if they simply want to hire one of their buddies in your position. Were do you stop with other duties as assign with new nsps? Is there still going to be a riff? And if there is how will this go On and what right do you have we this occurs? Ok you are talking about a pay band system how will this effect Each employee that is with the GS system now. And when will the pay band be published?
