I am very much against the NSPS. In my opinion there is no fair way to set perfomance standards. It will lead to favoritism etc. The good old boys mentality will rule. I do no believe for 1 second that this system will make our country more secure. This adminstration has it's own hidden agenda. There is nothing wrong with the current personnel system. Bad performers can be fired under the current system. It just takes a supervisor that's willling to put forth the time and effort. I'm tired of hearing that "you can't get rid of bad performers" under the current system. That's just not true. I don't believe employees will have any protections under this new system. If your boss doesn't like you, under the new system you might as well forget about a raise and worse he/she may fire you. The employee will have no rights.
