I feel that the new system will take us backward instead of foreward. The "Good Old Boy" system will prevail. Our supervisors and managers are not trained or qualified to be in the positions. They do not know how to properly manage, motivate or deal with people. This fact, in itself, causes me great concern. The supervisors and managers are going to take care of their friends and the rest of us will suffer the consequences. For instance, I could be doing better and more work than Jason but because Jason plays golf with the supervisor, he will get the promotion instead of me. I feel that a lot of us will be terrribly mistreated and according to what I have read so far, there will be very little, if any, recourses for us to take. I also feel that NSPS will be detrimental to the existing workforce. It will cause more jealousy and envy among the employees, which will cause the work environment to become hostile. Think of the effect NSPS will have on our teams and teamwork. That aspect of our workforce will be non- exsistent. The TEAM members will be so busy trying to get in a good point for themselves that the task at hand will be forgotten and the TEAM will not work well together at all. I think the NSPS System has a lot of issues to address before it is put into effect in all of DOD. They seem to have planned the system thinking that all managers and supervisors know what they are doing and are fair people. This is a very large misconception and they are making a big mistake.
