“- Current pay system results in outstanding performers being paid the same as poor performers” The current GS pay system also results in employees understanding how much they can and will make currently and in the future. The federal government, overall, pays its employees significantly less than the private sector…one of the only ways of enticing people to make the switch is the stability of a federal government job under the GS pay system and current regulations.
