Per http://www.cpms.osd.mil/nsps/PDF/FactSheet-ProposedNSPSReg-2-10-05.pdf as the material on page 5 (of 8) does... or may... apply to retirement. I believe I understand from all the materials (& not, apparently contra- dicted in the above) , that: retirement will be unchanged - under NSPS. In earlier presentations/iterations of NSPS, I believe there was mention of the possibility of re-hiring of fully-retired Federal employees (espec- ially CSRS), as new hires, unpenalized, under NSPS (specifically, under FERS, or FERS-based) status. I haven't found, but am interested in if that type of consideration is entirely settled: as, retirement will be unaffected; or if, such consideration is still open (actively?/inactively?) under any circum- stances... for instance: as "continuing collaboration. My interest is as a CSRS employee approaching eligibility for full retirement... and somewhat interested in post-retirement rehiring under a FERS-based system... unpenalized, of course. Sorry my question is so long. Very respectfully, Doug Fabens
