Reference: Federal Regrister/Vol.70, No. 29/Monday, February 14, 2005/Proposed Rules, Subpart B-Classification, Classification Process (9901.221): There isn't enough specific information contained in these instructions to make an honest apprasial on what effect they will have on the duties of the Base level Manpower Offices. Specifically; one of the core duties of Base level Manpower Analyst's is Civilian Position Management. We evaluate all new/revised Civilian Position Descriptions against the appliciable Air Force Manpower Standards, the Airmen/Officer Classification Manuals, the duties of the Air Force Speciality Code (AFSC) the position is assigned to and the Organizational Structure of the unit to insure the integerity of the position/AFSC aren't violated. We also insure that the chain of command and line of authority are maintained. Question: What future role will the base level manpower have in Civilian Position Management?
