Proposed NSPS Regulation Even in times of complete destruction, our country has always come to the realization that moral and constitutional must prevail. Federal Employee Unions helped institute the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, the FLRB and the MSPB, to ensure that every Civil Service Employee would not be treated as a slave, as prior to the Civil War, and their only right was to breath air and work your self to death. The Straw Boss, in this case the supervisor, has total control over your future. It's taken decades to acheive fairness in the workplace, and in one mans opinion he wants to wipe all of that away. The current appeals process gives me, the worker, some hope or a chance to right a wrong. This new system destroys all hope of being treated equal under the law. My Commander said that "...people come first." Maybe what he meant to say is, "...people go first." I've spent my entire adult life working for my country and making sure that America is first in every respect. Now the one's who have made it from the bottom to the top, are forgetting where they came from and are willing to toss us aside like cannon fodder, just to sell us out for technology and money in their collective pockets. No amount of technology can replace the amount of people that this proposed regulation will drive away from the ranks of civil service. Over the years, the retirement age has gone to keep qualified people working. The benifit system was the only reward for long years of work. Structured pay increases and labor protection were the only true benifits that have been mandated by Congress. Now these two items are to be given to men who have sold their to technology and money. People have made this country as great as it is, let's not destroy it by chipping away at it's people.
