Please pass on to your friends. I just called the Tinker NSPS office and spoke to Maj Mikus (739-3875) I told him that I thought Tinker was going to send an mass e-mail explaining to Tinker employees how the pay-ban was going to affect us. He said no that it was in Fridays Tinker Taker Off with the web site for our comments. When the union was here the people I spoke to told us that we have 30 days to make comment and in our comments we would have to show injury in order to for them to file suit to either stop the pay ban or to get a more equitable settlement. He said that the AFA (who is under banning) sent enough comments to filed suit and they received a one time settlement of $5,000-$10,000 for those people that the pay ban would not compensate for their loss of in step increases. Please send to as many people that you can we must read the new reg, besides the pay-ban I understand there are many other hiring, promotion and personnel issues that will affect us as well that are suppose to be even more important than the pay change so anything you dont agree with you have to take the time to make comment within the 30 day window. By the way Im only repeating what I was told but the same people that were here told me that Tinker is going to get a pot of money to compensate those of us that are on the high end of the step increases that would be affected but that Tinker doesnt have to tell us what they received or how they will distribute if at all. Please dont send me e-mails find the Tinker take off read the section on NSPS and though the article would have you believe its general info it does apply to Tinker and if they dont have comments or cant prove injury the Union people told us it will automatically go into affect the 17 of March (on this Im confused because its suppose to be 30 days from print and the regulation reads 14 FEB).
