Veteran preference, years of service and areas of consideration will no longer apply during a Reduction-in-Force. This is crazy. If you have more time in service and grade than someone else, I don't think it is fair that someone can bump you who has less time than you. If you do your job right, it isn't right that your supervisor can say who goes and who doesn't. What happens to those supervisors who don't like their employees and just want them out to put one of their friends in there. Also, everyone can become deployable and if I refuse I lose my job. I can see if I am in the military, but I'm not. If a civilian has volunteered to take a job in Iraq, then let them go. How is it fair, that if I don't want to go, I can lose my job. I would be giving up over 20 yrs government service b/c I don't want to go to a war zone. This is ridiculous.
